Description:

The 125744-02 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) is the primary interface to the 3500 rack, designed to support the configuration and data retrieval from the machinery monitoring system. It must be installed in Slot 1 of the rack, adjacent to the power supplies.

The RIM supports various Bently Nevada external communications processors, such as TDXnet, TDIX, and DDIX. While it provides essential functions for system configuration and communication, it does not affect the critical monitoring path and ensures the normal operation of the overall system. A single RIM is required per rack.

For Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) applications, the RIM is available in a TMR version, which includes monitor channel comparison for error detection and system reliability. The TMR RIM compares outputs from three redundant monitors and flags any discrepancies, ensuring continuous and accurate monitoring.

Outputs:

Front Panel LEDs:
- OK LED: Indicates proper operation of the RIM.
- TX/RX LED: Communicates with other modules in the 3500 rack.
- TM LED: Illuminates when the rack is in Trip Multiply mode.
- CONFIG OK LED: Indicates a valid rack configuration.
Relay Output: Indicates normal operation or fault condition in the rack, with an option for “OPEN” or “CLOSED” contact to annunciate a NOT OK condition. Rated for 5A at 24Vdc/120Vac.
Controls:
- Rack Reset Button: Clears latched alarms and resets OK Channel Defeat.
- Address Switch: Set one of 63 possible rack addresses.
- Configuration Keylock: Switch between RUN and PROGRAM mode to control rack configuration and operations.
