The Allen-Bradley 1440-TPS02-01RB is a position and process measurement module, designed to measure common turbine supervisory position measurements, including:
- Axial position (thrust)
- Case expansion
- Differential expansion
- Valve position
This module performs a self-test upon power-up, which includes a status indicator test and a device test. During the status indicator test, the indicators can either turn on independently or in sequence for approximately 0.25 seconds. Once the status indicator test is completed, the module proceeds with the device self-test.
The MS (Module Status) indicator reflects the status of the self-test:
- Flashing green and red: The self-test is in progress.
- Flashing or solid green: The self-test has successfully completed, and the module is operational.
- Solid red: Indicates a hardware failure, unrecoverable fault, or bootloader program corruption.
An external reset switch is located at the top of the module. This switch resets all latched relays, including the relays in the Relay Expansion module when connected.
