Bachmann CM202 CAN Fieldbus Master Module

The Bachmann CM202 module utilizes a robust 2-wire Controller Area Network (CAN) system optimized for high communication reliability, making it suitable for both existing and new applications.

Available CAN Protocols
The module supports multiple CAN-based protocols that can be configured as needed:

• CANopen: Configured in SolutionCenter using EDS files, integrating process data directly into the system.
• J1939 and NMEA2000: Supported via the J1939SRV software module.
• Custom Protocols: Proprietary protocols can be implemented by user application programs.

Dual CAN Ports
The module offers two independent CAN ports, each able to support separate networks. Both ports are galvanically isolated and short-circuit proof.

Configuration Options for Each Port

• NMT Master: CANopen-based configuration.
• NMT Slave: CANopen-based configuration.
• Additional CAN Protocols: Supports a variety of other CAN protocols.

Alternatively, the ports can be connected using DIP switches, enabling daisy-chain wiring between stations.
