Description:

The GE IC693MDL241 is a 24 Volt AC/DC Positive/Negative Logic Input module designed for use with the Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This module offers 16 input points grouped together with a common power input terminal. It can handle either positive or negative logic characteristics in DC input mode, making it versatile for different types of user inputs. Additionally, the module works with both AC and DC input sources, allowing integration with various user-supplied devices such as pushbuttons, limit switches, and electronic proximity switches.

When you supply current to an input point, the module registers a logic 1 in the input status table (%I). You can either power the module using the user’s power supply or utilize the isolated +24 VDC output from the PLC’s power supply (on the lower two terminals) to power a limited number of DC inputs.

LED Indicators:

The module features 16 LED indicators to show the ON/OFF status of each input point. These LEDs are arranged in two horizontal rows:

The top row (A1 through A8) corresponds to input points 1 through 8.
The bottom row (B1 through B8) corresponds to input points 9 through 16.

These LED indicators are positioned at the top of the module, making it easy to monitor the status of all input points.

Physical Design:

This module includes a hinged door with an insert, which you can use to record wiring and circuit identification information. On the inside of the module, the insert provides circuit wiring details, while the outside surface allows you to write identification information. Additionally, the left edge of the insert is color-coded blue, clearly indicating that this is a low-voltage module. The IC693MDL241 can be installed in any I/O slot of a 5 or 10-slot baseplate in the Series 90-30 PLC system.
