Description

The Horizontal Bus Driver (HBD) is a foundational module installed in I/O racks to enable communication and address selection within the system. It integrates with vertical and horizontal bus flatcables and is designed for both redundant and non-redundant I/O configurations.

1. Electronic Part: 10100/2/1 module.
2. Flatcables:
   • A1: For non-redundant I/O.
   • A21: For redundant I/O (one rack per HBD).
   • A22: For redundant I/O (two racks per HBD).

Features

• Connections:
  • Vertical bus flatcable connects to the CN1 back connector.
  • Horizontal bus flatcable connects to the CN3 back connector and extends from the module front.
• Redundancy: Supports both non-redundant and redundant configurations.
• Hot Swappable: The HBD can be replaced with power on, except for safety-related systems, which will cause a shutdown of the Central Part.
