Description
The Horizontal Bus Driver (HBD) is a foundational module installed in I/O racks to enable communication and address selection within the system. It integrates with vertical and horizontal bus flatcables and is designed for both redundant and non-redundant I/O configurations.
Key Components
- Electronic Part: 10100/2/1 module.
- Flatcables:
- A1: For non-redundant I/O.
- A21: For redundant I/O (one rack per HBD).
- A22: For redundant I/O (two racks per HBD).
Features
- Connections:
- Vertical bus flatcable connects to the CN1 back connector.
- Horizontal bus flatcable connects to the CN3 back connector and extends from the module front.
- Redundancy: Supports both non-redundant and redundant configurations.
- Hot Swappable: The HBD can be replaced with power on, except for safety-related systems, which will cause a shutdown of the Central Part.
