Description:

The 3500/50M Tachometer Module is a 2-channel module designed to monitor shaft speed, rotor acceleration, and rotor direction using proximity probes or magnetic pickups. It compares these measurements to user-programmable alarm setpoints and triggers alarms when the setpoints are violated. The module is programmable via 3500 Rack Configuration Software and supports multiple configuration options:

  • Speed Monitoring, Setpoint Alarming, and Speed Band Alarming
  • Speed Monitoring, Setpoint Alarming, and Zero Speed Notification
  • Speed Monitoring, Setpoint Alarming, and Rotor Acceleration Alarming
  • Speed Monitoring, Setpoint Alarming, and Reverse Rotation Notification

This module can also generate Keyphasor signals for use by other monitors in the system, eliminating the need for a separate Keyphasor module.

It includes a peak hold feature, which stores the highest speed, reverse speed, or number of reverse rotations reached by the machine. Peak values can be reset as needed.
