Overview

The TU837/TU837V1 is an 8-channel, 250 V Extended Module Termination Unit (MTU) designed for the S800 I/O system. The MTU acts as a passive unit, facilitating the connection of field wiring to I/O modules. It also manages the distribution of the ModuleBus and generates the correct address for the I/O modules. This ensures reliable communication between the MTU and the connected modules. The TU837/TU837V1 can handle a maximum rated voltage of 250 V and a maximum current of 3 A per channel.

The MTU can be mounted onto a DIN rail for easy installation. It features a mechanical latch for secure attachment to the rail, which can be released using a screwdriver. Mechanical keys provide additional configuration options, allowing for 36 different module types based on the position of the keys.

Each I/O channel is individually isolated, providing enhanced safety for field wiring. The MTU also includes fuse protection for each channel and offers the flexibility to use up to 8 I/O channels.
