Function

The 8C-TAIM01 Low Level Analog (Temperature) Input (LLMUX) IOP module handles up to 64 channels for temperature inputs. It uses Honeywell’s PMIO LLMUX FTA, with each FTA supporting 16 channels. You can mix RTD, Thermocouple (TC), and millivolt (mV) inputs based on system needs. This module offers high-precision temperature measurements and integrates easily with Honeywell devices.

Temperature Support

The LLMUX system uses solid-state PMIO LLMUX FTA, supporting both RTD and Thermocouple (TC) inputs. The system collects data from all temperature points every second and includes Open Thermocouple Detection (OTD). If a thermocouple is open, the system sets the process variable (PV) to NaN, preventing control errors.

Sampling and Open Sensor Detection

The module detects open sensors before propagating the PV. With OTD enabled, the PV is sampled, and the system checks for errors in the same measurement window. If an error occurs, the PV is set to NaN, and a soft failure is flagged. This prevents invalid readings from affecting the system. Importantly, OTD processing does not introduce delays in PV sampling or reporting.
