The MC-PSRX04 is a high-performance redundant power supply module designed for Honeywell’s Process Manager systems. It ensures reliable and continuous operation by providing power redundancy and battery backup for critical components, such as HPMM (High-Performance Process Manager) and IOP (Input/Output Processor) modules.

Key Features

1. Power Supply Capabilities:
   • Provides 24 VDC for operating HPMM cards, IOP cards, and Field Terminal Assemblies (FTAs).
   • Outputs 3.6 VDC for backup of HPMM and IOP memory circuits.
   • Supplies 0.25A, 6 VAC for line frequency clock circuits in LLAI (Low-Level Analog Input) modules.
2. System Redundancy:
   • Supports redundant power supply modules for enhanced reliability.
   • Optional redundancy for 120 VAC or 240 VAC input power.
   • Dual input power sources can be connected for additional fault tolerance.
3. Battery Backup:
   • Provides NiCad battery backup for CMOS memory:
     • 12 hours with model MU-PSRX03.
     • 45 hours with model MU-PSRX04.
   • Optional 48 VDC battery backup module (MU-PSRB03/04) for 25 minutes of power in case of main power failure.
4. Failure Detection:
   • Monitors and detects failures in both single and redundant power supply modules.
5. System Configurations:
   • Flexible cabinet configurations:
     • Shared power systems for HPMM and IOP card files.
     • Independent power systems for separate HPMM cabinets.
   • Redundant Power Supply Modules recommended for redundant HPMM setups.
6. AC Only Power System:
   • Optional 8- or 16-ampere redundant power supply modules.
   • Uses alkaline batteries instead of NiCad for CMOS memory backup.
   • No 48 VDC battery backup option available.
   • Not suitable for CE Compliant applications.
