Terminal Blocks
- The PI Module includes three types of terminal blocks: configuration, sensor, and resistor. Each type serves a unique function to ensure the system operates effectively and adapts to various needs.
- The configuration block lets users select between passive and active magnetic sensors. It also provides the option to enable an internal pull-up resistor when working with an active open-collector sensor. This flexibility ensures the module works with a variety of sensor types.
- The sensor block connects sensors directly to the baseplate. Its simple design makes sensor integration efficient and straightforward.
- The resistor block allows users to attach termination resistors for passive sensors or pull-up resistors for active open-collector sensors. This feature adds another layer of customization to suit specific operational requirements.
- The PI Baseplate arrives from the factory with default settings. The configuration blocks are preset to differential mode for all points, while the sensory blocks are configured as spares with inputs shorted together. To prepare a point for use, users need to adjust or remove the jumpers appropriately, making the system ready for specific applications.
