Product Overview

The Bently Nevada 3500/42M Proximitor Seismic Monitor is a four-channel device designed to monitor and protect machinery by analyzing inputs from proximity and seismic transducers. It provides vibration, position, and other critical measurements and compares them against configurable alarm setpoints for protection and monitoring purposes.

Channel Functionality:
- Monitors radial vibration, REBAM, thrust position, acceleration, differential expansion, shaft absolute position, eccentricity, velocity, and circular acceptance region.
- Channels are programmed in pairs and can perform up to two functions simultaneously.
Alarm Settings: User-programmable alert and danger setpoints for active static values.
Static Value Calculation: Processes input signals to generate measurable parameters (static values).

- REBAM: 40 mV/μm (1000 mV/mil) or 80 mV/μm (2000 mV/mil).
- Acceleration: 10 mV/(m/s²) (100 mV/g).
- Velocity: Multiple sensitivity options: 20 mV/(mm/s) pk, 5.8 mV/(mm/s) pk, or 4 mV/(mm/s) pk.

Outputs

Front Panel LEDs:
- OK LED: Indicates proper operation.
- TX/RX LED: Indicates communication with other modules in the rack.
- Bypass LED: Indicates the monitor is in Bypass Mode.
Buffered Transducer Outputs:
- Short-circuit protected coaxial connector for each channel.
- Output Impedance: 550 Ω.
Recorder Outputs:
- Signal: +4 to +20 mA proportional to full-scale.
- Voltage Compliance: 0 to +12 Vdc across loads (0 to 600 Ω).
Shaft Absolute Buffered Outputs:
- Output Impedance: 300 Ω.
