Description
Eccentricity measurement determines shaft bow at slow-roll speeds. This bow may result from:
- Fixed mechanical bow
- Temporary thermal bow
- Temporary bow due to sag or gravity effects at rest (gravity bow)
The 3300/40 Eccentricity Monitor provides real-time eccentricity monitoring, identifying thermal or gravity-induced rotor bow. Suitable for various rotating and reciprocating machinery, it continuously measures and monitors one eccentricity channel.
Eccentricity Indications
Direct Eccentricity
The instantaneous eccentricity value.
Peak-to-Peak Eccentricity
The difference between the positive and negative extremes of the rotor bow.
Additional Information
The monitor also provides Gap Voltage and Threshold Voltage (Keyphasor® trigger point).
