Bently Nevada 3500/05-01-02-00-00-01 System Rack

The Bently Nevada 3500/05-01-02-00-00-01 System Rack is designed to support the mounting and interconnection of 3500 series monitor modules and power supplies. This rack is an essential part of the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Machinery Protection System, providing a convenient and organized way to mount the various monitoring modules, while also ensuring proper power distribution across the system.

Rack Types:

• Full-size Rack:
  • 19-inch EIA rack with 14 available module slots.
• Mini-Rack:
  • 12-inch rack with 7 available module slots.
  • Note: The mini-rack is not available in the bulkhead mount option.

Rack Formats:

The 3500 rack is available in three different mounting configurations:

1. Panel Mount:
   • The rack mounts to a rectangular cut-out in a panel and is secured using clamps supplied with the rack.
   • I/O modules and wiring connections are accessible from the rear of the rack.
2. Rack Mount:
   • The rack is mounted on 19-inch EIA rails, making it easy to integrate into existing EIA-standard 19-inch rack setups.
   • Wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the rear.
3. Bulkhead Mount:
   • The rack mounts against a wall or panel when rear access to the rack is not feasible.
   • Wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the front of the rack.
   • Note: Mini-rack is not available in this configuration.

Module Placement:

• The power supplies and rack interface module must occupy the far-left positions of the rack.
• The remaining 14 rack positions (or 7 in the mini-rack) are available for monitor modules and other components.

The 3500/05-01-02-00-00-01 System Rack is ordered based on a series of configurable options. The ordering code structure is:

1. A (Rack Size):
   • 01: 19-inch rack (14 module slots).
2. B (Mounting Options):
   • 02: Rack mount option for full-size rack (mounts to 19-inch EIA rack).
3. C (Agency Approval Option):
   • 00: No agency approval.
4. D (Reserved):
   • 00: Reserved for future use.
5. E (European Compliance Option):
   • 01: CE (Compliant with European Union standards).

Special Considerations:

• Mini-Rack: The 3500/05 Mini-Rack is not available in the Bulkhead Mount option.
• When using the 3500 mini-rack in a 19-inch EIA rack, you will need the 144863-01 19-inch EIA Adapter Panel.
• The 3500 mini-rack requires Version 2.70 or later of the 3500/01 Software.
