Functional Description

The DS200FSAAG2A serves as a Field Supply Gate Amplifier Board designed by General Electric, specifically for the Mark V Series in GE Drive Control systems. To enhance its functionality, the board integrates several critical components, including:

• 10-pin Connector ensuring reliable signal transmission.

• Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) Functionality:
  • Field power passes through a shunt, enabling accurate monitoring.
  • The VCO circuit on the SDCI or DCFB board transforms the voltage across the shunt into a frequency signal that represents the field current.
  • Subsequently, the frequency signal reaches the SDCC card, which adjusts the thyristor firing phase angle based on system requirements.
• Reliable SCR Power Conversion Bridge:
  • The system uses 3-phase power input.
  • For G, C, and CX frame drives, fuses FU1, FU2, and FU3 protect the incoming AC power lines.
  • For J, K, L, and M frame drives, fuses FU1 through FU12 ensure reliable protection of DC power lines.
  • The SCR bridge consists of appropriately sized modules tailored to match the drive’s current rating.
• Comprehensive Hardware Support:
  To ensure seamless installation and maintenance, the system includes hardware drawings and elementary diagrams for all supported frame sizes.
