The A6110 Dual-Channel Shaft Relative Vibration Monitor is designed for highly critical rotating machinery in applications such as steam, gas turbines, compressors, and hydro turbines. It integrates with the AMS 6500 Machinery Health Monitor to form a complete API 670 machinery protection system. This monitor continuously measures shaft vibration and helps protect machinery by triggering alarms and relays when vibration exceeds predefined thresholds.
The A6110 uses non-contact displacement sensors that measure shaft position and movement relative to the bearing case. Because the sensor is mounted directly on the bearing, it monitors shaft relative vibration—critical for early detection of potential failures in sleeve bearing machines.
In addition, the A6110 provides a hot-swappable module, ensuring minimal downtime during maintenance. The device is fully API 670 compliant, making it suitable for use in hazardous locations, while also meeting ATEX Zone 2 and Class I, Div 2 location standards.
