FX-USI-0002 | HONEYWELL UNIVERSAL SAFETY INTERFACE MMEM CC, EUCN

The Universal Safety Interface module type FE-USI-0002 will be withdrawn from the Safety Manager product line and replaced by the FX-USI-0002 module.

Withdrawal Date

The withdrawal of the FE-USI-0002 module took effect on September 30, 2019.

Reasons for Withdrawal

The withdrawal is due to component obsolescence in the near future.

Parts Ordering

• The FE-USI-0002 module is no longer being produced.
• Existing stock of the FE-USI-0002 module can still be ordered as a system, spare, or replacement part until inventory is depleted.
• Once stock is depleted, the FX-USI-0002 module will be delivered in place of the FE-USI-0002.
• In the Total Plant Configurator (TPC), the FE-USI-0002 will be disabled and replaced with the FX-USI-0002 module.

Alternative Modules

The FX-USI-0002 module will replace the FE-USI-0002, FC-USI-0001, and FC-USI-0002 modules. It is pin-to-pin and function-compatible with these modules.

Important Note

The FX-USI-0002 module is not compatible with Safety Manager systems running software versions prior to R140.1. Upgrading the software is strongly recommended. If an upgrade is not possible in the near future, it is advised to maintain an adequate stock of spare parts (FE-USI-0002, FC-USI-0002, or FC-USI-0001) to address potential faults.
