Honeywell 10006/2/1 Diagnostic and Battery Module (DBM)

Description:

The 10006/2/1 DBM is a diagnostic and battery module that provides an interface to help users diagnose the FSC (Fail-Safe Controller) system. It displays messages related to faults detected by diagnostic routines, including the type, rack, and position of faulty modules.

In addition to diagnostic messages, the module features a real-time clock function that displays the current date and time, which can be read by the application program. The module also measures and displays the temperature from two independent sensors, the 5 Vdc level, and the battery voltage. Alarm points and trip points for temperature can be configured in the system configuration.

There is a switch on the front of the module that toggles between retrieving system information (switch upwards) or diagnostic information (switch downwards). The switch needs to be operated several times to retrieve all information.

Battery Pack Versions:

• Modules with suffix code 08803 have a battery pack with higher reliability and an increased temperature range (up to 65°C / 148°F).
• Modules with suffix code 08804 have a battery pack connected to the mainboard via connectors for easy battery exchange.

Notes:

• If the cabinet temperature exceeds 55°C (131°F) for more than 24 hours, the batteries may be damaged and lose their backup capabilities.
• The module should not be removed or replaced while the power to its Central Part is on.
