GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Five- and Ten-Slot Modules are versatile components within the TDC 3000X system, designed to perform various functions such as Applications, Gateways, History, and Universal Stations. Each module occupies a unique address (node) on the Local Control Network (LCN). Figure 2-1 illustrates the role of these modules within a typical TDC 3000X system.
The flexibility of these modules stems from the interchangeable component card assemblies (boards) they house. Alongside these internal boards, companion input-output (I/O) boards are mounted in a chassis at the rear of the module. These I/O boards enable the module to connect to the LCN, Data Hiway, Universal Control Network (UCN), external devices, and communication lines. Each module also includes an integrated power supply located at its base and a cooling-fan assembly on its right side.
Mounting Details
These modules are specifically designed for installation in Honeywell TDC 3000X system equipment cabinets and Universal Station console bays that adhere to the industry-standard 19-inch rack mount. When using non-Honeywell racks, ensure:
- Unobstructed cooling-fan airflow.
- Adequate air filtration to maintain system performance.
I/O Board or Paddle Board Types
I/O boards with “EC” in their description are EC-compatible designs that offer grounding for shielded cables. Below is a summary of I/O board or paddle board types:
Board Type | Description | Part Number |
---|---|---|
CLCN-A | LCN I/O Board (Dual Node LCN Coax A I/O Board) EC | 51305072-200 |
