Bussed 24VDC Output:
The Digital Output Bussed 24VDC module allows for both internal and external field power excitation. As a bussed output device, all outputs share a common return (ground). The module draws power from either the system power supply or an externally connected 24V power supply. When an external source is used, outputs can be galvanically isolated from the Series C power system. A wiring option on the IOTA (Input/Output Terminal Adapter) determines whether the outputs reference the Series C system power or an external field power source.
FAILOPT Functionality:
- HOLD THE LAST VALUE:
If the system detects an issue, the output can maintain the last valid value. - SHED TO A SAFE VALUE:
Alternatively, the output can be configured to shed to a predefined safe value, offering flexibility in how faults are handled.
