Honeywell 900S50S-0460 I/O Scanner Module

The Honeywell 900S50S-0460 I/O Scanner Module connects to a remote I/O rack along with the I/O modules. It collects data from the input modules in the remote rack and communicates it to the controller. The module also receives output data from the controller and sends it to the appropriate output modules.

The data exchange occurs synchronously with the controller’s scan time to ensure deterministic operation. The module monitors the diagnostic status of the I/O modules and reports any issues to the controller.

You can set the rack address of the Scanner 1 module using DIP switches on its circuit board. The module connects to the controller using IEEE 802.4 Ethernet (100Base-TX Physical Layer). When using multiple I/O scanners with a single controller, an external Ethernet switch is required.

The Scanner 1 module supports removal and insertion while under power.

Thermocouple Support: Provides cold junction compensation for thermocouples (via AI module).
Status Indicators: The module has red/green LED indicators for module status, and green/yellow LEDs for data transmission and receipt.
