The QPP-0002 (Quad Processor Pack) is the second-generation processing module for Safety Manager systems. It plays a central role in controlling all system operations, handling input signals, executing user-defined control logic, and ensuring safe system functionality. This module is designed for use in Controller chassis and is a critical component in both non-redundant and redundant controller configurations.

  • Dual Processors: Two processors run synchronously for enhanced system performance, ensuring continuous control and diagnostics.
  • Redundant Communication Link: In redundant configurations, the two QPP-0002 modules synchronize through a dedicated link.
  • Fault Detection and Diagnostics: Extensive diagnostic coverage (greater than 99%), including watchdog functionality, temperature monitoring, memory error handling, and real-time clock.
  • SIL3 Certification: The QPP-0002 can run applications up to SIL3 (Safety Integrity Level 3) without time limitations in a redundant controller configuration.
  • 1oo2D Voting Architecture: Redundant configuration results in a 2oo4D (two-out-of-four data) voting system for added safety.
  • System and Application Program Flash Memory: Flash memory allows for backup and updates without module removal.
