ICS Triplex T8461 Trusted TMR 24V DC/48V DC Output Module

The T8461 Trusted® Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) 24V DC / 48V DC Digital Output Module interfaces with 40 field devices and incorporates a robust diagnostic framework. The module performs triplicated tests for current and voltage on each output channel, as well as checks for stuck-on and stuck-off failures. Its TMR architecture ensures fault tolerance across all output channels. Additionally, it features automatic line monitoring to detect open and short circuit failures in both field wiring and load devices. The module includes onboard Sequence of Events (SOE) reporting with a 1 ms resolution, triggered by any output change in state.

Important Note: This module is not approved for direct connection to hazardous areas and should be used with Intrinsic Safety Barrier devices.

Description

The TMR 24V DC/48V DC Digital Output Module is part of the Trusted range of Input/Output (I/O) Modules. It connects to the Inter-Module Bus (IMB) for power and communication with the TMR Processor. All Trusted I/O Modules share a common design, and all utilize a TMR architecture for reliability.
