ICS TRIPLEX T8461C Digital Output Module

Overview:

The ICS Triplex T8461C Trusted® Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) 24V DC / 48V DC Digital Output Module interfaces with up to 40 field devices. It performs triplicated diagnostic tests, measuring current and voltage on each portion of the voted output channel. The module includes fault tolerance through a TMR architecture for each output channel and can detect stuck-on and stuck-off failures. It features automatic line-monitoring for field device wiring to detect both open and short circuits.

Additionally, the module provides onboard Sequence of Events (SOE) reporting with a resolution of 1 millisecond. Output states are automatically determined by onboard voltage and current measurements. This module is not approved for direct connection to hazardous areas and should be used with Intrinsic Safety Barrier devices.

Module Description:

The T8461C TMR 24V DC/48V DC Digital Output Module is part of the Trusted I/O range, which shares common functionality and form across modules. These modules interface with the Inter-Module Bus (IMB) for power and communication with the TMR Processor. All modules are Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) to enhance reliability and fault tolerance.
