The PEPPERL+FUCHS KFD2-VR4-Ex1.26 is an isolated barrier designed for intrinsic safety applications. It facilitates the safe transmission of vibration sensor signals from hazardous areas to a control system in safe areas. This device provides either a voltage or current supply to vibration sensors such as those from Bently Nevada or other accelerometers.


Functionality and Output

  • Power Supply for Vibration Sensors: The device delivers a specific current or voltage depending on the type of sensor:
    • For 2-wire sensors: It provides supply currents of 3.6 mA, 5.3 mA, or 8.9 mA.
    • For 3-wire sensors: It supplies 18 V at 20 mA.

This ensures that both 2-wire and 3-wire vibration sensors receive the necessary power and signal transmission.
