Overview
The Triconex 3636R and 3636T Relay Output (RO) Modules are non-triplicated modules designed for interfacing with non-critical points where “high-side” solid-state output switches are not compatible, such as with annunciator panels. The modules receive output signals from the Main Processors, process the data using a voting mechanism, and drive 32 individual relays accordingly. The modules feature diagnostic capabilities, loopback circuits, and can support hot-spare configurations for enhanced reliability.
Key Features
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Model Numbers | 3636R, 3636T |
Function | Relay Output (RO) Module |
Relay Type | Normally Open (NO) contacts |
Relay Channels | 3 channels (with voting for 32 individual relays) |
Diagnostic Capability | Loopback circuit to verify each relay’s operation |
Fault Indicator | Activates if any diagnostic fails, triggering chassis alarm |
External Termination Panel | Required for interfacing with Tricon backplane |
Hot-Spare Modules | Supported for enhanced reliability |
Use Case | Non-critical points like interfacing with annunciator panels |
Specifications
Relay Configuration: 32 individual relays with voting logic to drive the outputs
Diagnostics: The loopback circuit verifies relay function independently of the load
Fault Handling: Faults activate the Fault Indicator, which triggers the Chassis Alarm
External Termination Panel (ETP): Required for connecting to the Tricon backplane
Compatibility: Designed for use in environments where high-side solid-state switches are not suitable
