Triconex 3700 / 3700A Analog Input Module

Overview

The Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) Triconex 3700A and Triconex 3700 Analog Input (AI) Module provides accurate and fault-tolerant data acquisition through independent input channels, mid-value selection, and comprehensive diagnostics for high-reliability systems.

Features

Channel Independence:
Three independent channels per input point, preventing single-channel failures from affecting others.
Data Handling:
- Converts variable voltage signals to digital values for processing by three main processors.
- In TMR mode, mid-value selection ensures correct data for every scan.
Diagnostics:
Continuous monitoring of each channel activates the Fault indicator if any failure is detected. The module remains operational with up to two faulty channels.
Hot-Spare Capability:
Supports online replacement of faulty modules without system interruption.
External Termination Panel (ETP):
Requires a separate ETP connected via cable to the Tricon backplane.
