Triconex 4351A Tricon Communication Module

The 4351A, 4352A, 4353, 4354 Tricon Communication Module (TCM) enables Tricon systems (v10.0 and later) to communicate with external devices and networks. It supports communication with TriStation, other controllers, Modbus devices, and external hosts over Ethernet.

  • 4 serial ports (RS-232/RS-485, DB-9 connectors).
  • 2 network ports (Copper or Fiber-optic, depending on the model).
  • 1 debug port for Triconex use.
• Serial Port Configuration:
  • Ports can operate as Modbus master/slave.
  • Port #1 supports Modbus or Trimble GPS.
  • Port #4 supports Modbus or TriStation.
• Modbus Compatibility:
  • Requires alias numbers for variable mapping.
  • Supports standard Modbus functions.
• Network Protocols:
  • Supports TCP/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, TSAA, SNTP, and more.
  • NET 1 includes Peer-to-Peer and Time Synchronization.
• Hot Swap: Faulty TCMs can be replaced while online (hot-spare feature unavailable).
• System Limits:
  • Maximum 4 TCMs per system in two logical slots.
  • Maximum 32 Modbus masters/slaves (across all ports).
