Triconex 8310 Power Module

Each Tricon chassis is equipped with two power modules, each capable of running the system at full load and rated temperature. The modules provide redundancy and can be replaced online without interrupting system operation. The modules convert incoming line power to DC power suitable for all Tricon modules.

Power Module Overview

Purpose: Provides DC power to Tricon modules.
Capacity: Each module can support full system load.
Redundancy: Two modules ensure system redundancy.
Replacement: Modules are hot-swappable (can be replaced online).
Location: Left side of the Tricon chassis.
Power Requirement: Minimum of 240 watts per power supply.

Alarm Contacts

Actuation: Triggered under the following conditions:
- Missing Module
- Hardware/Software Conflict
- Module Failure
- System Fault
- Primary Power Failure
- Battery/Temperature Warning
Type: Normally open, normally closed, and common contacts.
Rating: 120 VAC @ 1 amp.
Wiring: Supports 12-gauge wire.
Protection: Safety cover included.

Alarm Conditions

Missing Module: A module is absent from the system.
Hardware/Software Conflict: Configuration mismatch between hardware and control program.
Module Failure: A module malfunctions.
System Fault: Detected by the main processor.
Primary Power Failure: Loss of power to the power module.
Battery/Temperature Warning: Low battery or over-temperature condition.
