The VIBRO-METER 200-530-023-014/200-530-100-014 CMC 16 Condition Monitoring Card is the central element in Vibro-Meter’s VM 600 series Condition Monitoring System (CMS). This intelligent front-end Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) is designed to work with the VM 600 CMS software to acquire, analyze, and transmit results to a host computer via the VM 600 series CPU M module with Ethernet controller or directly through serial links.
Features
- Programmable Inputs: Accepts signals for speed, phase reference, vibration (acceleration, velocity, or displacement), dynamic pressure, air gap rotor and pole profile, dynamic signals, and quasi-static signals.
- Signal Routing: Inputs from adjacent Machinery Protection Cards (MPC 4) via VM 600 ‘Raw Bus’ and ‘Tacho Bus’ or externally via screw terminal connectors on the IOC 16T.
- Signal Conditioning: The IOC 16T modules provide signal conditioning and EMC protection, routing inputs to the CMC 16.
- On-board Processing: Features include acquisition control, time to frequency domain conversion (FFT), band extraction, unit conversion, limit checking, and communication with the host system.
Data Acquisition and Processing
- Channels: 16 programmable tracked anti-aliasing filters and Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADC).
- Data Outputs: Supports RMS, peak, peak-peak, and true peak values, with configurable bands based on acquired spectra.
- Threshold Settings: Data transmission to host computer occurs only on exceptions when changes exceed defined thresholds.
- Long-term Data Trends: Long-term averages are calculated for trend analysis over multiple years.
Event Generation
- Alarm Settings: Events are generated based on configurable limits, rate-of-change alarms, or deviations from baselines.
- Adaptive Monitoring: Alarm set points can be dynamically adjusted based on machine parameters like speed and load.
Operational Capabilities
- Transient Mode: Higher density logging based on configurable time and speed intervals.
- Vibration Measurement: Operates in speed ranges from 15 rev/min to 30,000 rev/min.
- High-resolution Data Acquisition: Capable of capturing scheduled intervals or alarm detection (waveforms, spectra, orbits).
- Oscilloscope Mode: Extended capture of time-based data can be triggered for in-depth analysis.
