Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has announced plans to open three new manufacturing plants in India. These facilities will be located in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmednagar. This expansion will strengthen Schneider’s presence in India, one of its most important markets.

Commitment to India’s Growth
At ELECRAMA 2025, Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum reaffirmed the company’s commitment to India. Schneider currently operates 31 manufacturing plants in the country. The new facilities will further boost its operations. Blum stated that India’s focus on digitalization, sustainability, and infrastructure modernization presents excellent growth opportunities.
“India’s focus on a sustainable future presents us with unique growth opportunities,” Blum said. “We are leveraging AI and digitalization to drive India’s energy sector transformation.”
Investing in Advanced Technologies
Schneider Electric plans to use advanced technologies such as digital grids, IoT-enabled energy resources, microgrids, and smart cities. These technologies will help reduce emissions by 75% over the next 25 years. The company also announced a Rs 3,200 crore investment to expand its manufacturing footprint, adding 1.2 million sq. ft. of space by 2026.
India as a Strategic Hub
India is Schneider Electric’s third-largest market globally. It is also one of the company’s four strategic hubs. Blum emphasized the company’s focus on job creation and sustainable development in India.

At the event, Schneider Electric Zone President – Greater India, MD & CEO Deepak Sharma presented the company’s range of efficient and sustainable solutions.
