Witt India, a leading tunnel ventilation manufacturer, has joined forces with ABB India, a pioneer in electrification and automation, to enhance safety and efficiency in India’s tunnels. The collaboration focuses on deploying state-of-the-art smoke extraction motors in key tunnel projects across India. These motors, paired with Witt India’s Banana Jet Fans, ensure safe and breathable environments during emergencies, such as fires, while maintaining optimal airflow during regular operations.

ABB’s high-performance motors can withstand extreme temperatures of up to 300°C for two hours, enabling effective smoke extraction and ensuring clear evacuation routes. This advanced technology boosts commuter confidence and ensures seamless tunnel operations.

Energy Efficiency Meets Reliability

Incorporating Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) into the system enhances energy efficiency while reducing operational costs. The motors optimize energy consumption during regular operations without compromising reliability, aligning with India’s push for sustainable infrastructure development.
