Description

The Honeywell 10216/2/1 module is a fail-safe digital output module with four 24 Vdc loop-monitored output channels, each capable of driving loads up to 24 W. The module’s total maximum load is 3.6 A. It is designed for both resistive and inductive loads, featuring a built-in suppression diode for inductive load protection.

Key features include:

Integrated loop monitoring for lead breakage and short circuit detection.
Tested for fail-safe applications, including suppression diode functionality, crosstalk, and de-energization capabilities.
Equipped with secondary means of de-energization via the watchdog or processor.

The module requires an I/O backplane for operation, as the outputs need to work with a 10216/A/. range-setting module.

LED Indicators

On State (Redundant): LEDs alternate flashing between modules in CP1 and CP2 during redundancy checks.
